About Us
In 2005, dog trainers Robin Bennett and Colleen Pelar created Dream Dog Productions to produce two books about dog behavior. Over time, the company has grown. It's added many more products and even a new partner, Pam Nashman.
Most new product ideas come from you, our clients! Thanks for making suggestions and requests. We love coming up with new ways to help you as you help dogs.
As individuals and as a team, the Dream Dog partners are dog-crazy professionals driven to succeed. Robin, Pam, and Colleen are all Certified Professional Dog Trainers (CPDT-KA) and members of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers.
They've traveled throughout the US and Canada attending--and speaking at--seminars and conferences. They are committed to continuing education. In fact, they began hosting seminars for selfish reasons: they wanted to bring impressive speakers to their hometown. From training chickens to visiting Wolf Park, these three are eager to learn any new skills that will help them with dogs.
Robin Bennett has been working with dogs since 1993. She opened one of the first dog daycares in Virginia. She's always the first to try something new, which is why Pam and Colleen call her "Gadget Girl." Robin likes working with owners of dog daycares and training facilities to find ways to improve their businesses.
Pam Nashman started training dogs in 2006. She excels at problem solving and developing ways to make things simpler and more efficient--a skill Robin and Colleen appreciate. Pam enjoys helping other trainers work effectively with clients while teaching them how to foster and maintain a positive relationship with them.
Since 1991, Colleen Pelar has been working to improve relationships between dogs and people by focusing on the many ways we miscommunicate. Her particular passion is helping kids and dogs develop loving relationships. She loves helping trainers find ways to open their clients' eyes to a new way of looking at things.
At Dream Dog Productions, our dreams just keep getting bigger and bigger!
